In October of 2013, Logical Solutions, Inc. was awarded the contract to proceed with a retrofit of the control system at Chase Tower in Dallas, TX. With such a large system of multiple tenants and upgrades being done at different periods of time, LSI began the planning and engineering process, working closely with Hines personnel to meet customer needs as well as provide a comfortable and customized implementation process.

The retrofit included a complete CUP BMS changeout, as well as network infrastructure that would facilitate a future retrofit of all equipment housed within Chase Tower. All critical equipment including all AHUs feeding all floors were part of the initial retrofit. Floors that were to temporarily remain on the existing system were integrated into the new WebCTRL system with the use of Jace’s and BACnet integration.

The system retrofit will give the owners and tenants years of comfort, energy efficiency, reliability, and the peace of mind that their new vendor will be there every step of the way throughout the entire life cycle of the system and beyond.
