BAS/EMS Estimator

Logical Solutions Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented BAS / EMS Estimator to support our growing Building Automation, Energy Management, and HVAC controls business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical and collaborative sides of estimating—working closely with Sales, engineers, and customers to develop accurate, competitive project proposals.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare estimates, takeoffs, and proposals for building automation and HVAC controls projects.
- Partner with Sales to qualify leads, manage opportunities in CRM, and support customer relationships.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and addenda to define scope and ensure accurate pricing.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain and evaluate competitive quotes.
- Assist with RFIs, bid clarifications, and scope reviews to minimize risk and deviations.
- Track bid activity, maintain organized documentation, and support bid-day strategy.
- Help position LSI solutions with engineers, architects, and project stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems, HVAC, or energy-related fields.
- Strong Excel skills and understanding of project costing, revenue, and margins.
- Ability to read plans, perform digital takeoffs, and develop markups using PDF tools.
- Highly organized with strong time management and communication skills.
- Technical aptitude with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
